Watch: Shah Rukh Khan's 'middle of my shower' tweet after KKR win goes viral
Kolkata: Two-time Indian Premier League (IPL) winners, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) kept alive their hopes of winning the title for the third time after Dinesh Karthik-led unit defeated Ajinkya Rahane’s Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the Eliminator of IPL 2018 at the Eden Gardens here on Wednesday.
Needing 170 runs to win, RR suffered a 25-run loss and crashed out of the tournament while KKR, following the win, will now take on Kane Williamson-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Qualifier 2 on Friday. The winner of this game will square off against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the final, which will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.
Following KKR’s win, team’s co-owner and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan took to Twitter to laud the performance of the team from “middle of my shower”.
SRK tweeted a video message, saying, “Missed talking to the fabulous boys from KKR…was getting ready for shoot. So in the middle of my shower sending all my love. Wow #KKRHaiTayyar so so proud and happy.”

While KKR were a part of the mid-table scramble as the league stage of IPL 2018 drew closer, the team went on to win their last three encounters before the playoffs to make it to top four.
