IPL 2018: Vinod Kambli faces heat on Twitter after challenging to RR's Sanju Samson

Samson is currently the leading run-getter in the tournament with 239 runs in six matches

Mumbai: Rajasthan Royals are yet to hit the form in this years Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign. In the six matches played by them so far, the tem have won 3 and lost 3 and are currently lying at no 5 on the points table.

While big names has failed to hit the form with the bat on consistent basis, young Sanju Samson has been the shining light in teams mix start to the campaign. The 23-year-old is currently the leading run-getter in the tournament with 239 runs in six matches at an average of 47.80 and a strike rate of 150.31.

After stellar form with the bat, former India batting star Vinod Kambli has openly challenged the youngster to either score a hundred in the ongoing edition or to hold on to the 'orange cap' that he currently owns. After issuing the challenge, the former India cricketer received lot of flak on Twitter from Samson fan’s. He was also involved in

several arguments with fans and replied to some individually.

Samson is all likely to lose the orange cap as he is closely followed by SunRisers Hyderabad skipper Kane Williamson, who will be playing against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday night.

The SRH captain has so fr cored 230 runs in five matches this season and is currently 10 runs short to take the 'orange cap' away from the Kerala youngster.
