Pune: India endured a horrible day in Pune as Australia dominated the proceedings in the opening Border-Gavaskar Test on Day 2. The visiting team ended second day's play at 143/4, with a lead of 298 runs.

Virat Kohli and Co. imploded in the first innings as they were dismissed for 105 in reply to Australia’s first inning’s total of 260. Spinner Steve O’Keefe was hero of the day for Australia, the left-arm spinner scalped six wickets on the day.

At the end of the day, Australia skipper Steve Smith was unbeaten on 59, while Mitchell Marsh was not out on 21.

Former cricketers and experts showered praise on O’Keefe on social media for his stellar performance.
