India vs New Zealand 5th ODI tickets to be sold from October 25
Visakhapatnam: The sale of tickets for 5th and final ODI cricket-match between India and New Zealand scheduled to be played at Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium under floodlights in Vizag on October 29 will commence from October 25. Around 12,000 tickets of Rs 400, Rs 1,000, Rs 1,500, Rs 2,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 5,000 denominations will be sold through Mee-Seva centres in the city.
The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) announced that higher denomination (Rs 2,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 5,000) tickets also available at the counter in the Stadium and also available at Axis Bank’s Madhurawada branch and Maharanipeta branch. The ACA will sell the tickets online also and one can get tickets by clicking on https://www.eventsnow.com/visakhapatnam-event/india-vs-new-zealand-5th-odi-2016/6458.
The total capacity of the stadium is around 27,500 and ACA will give complementary passes to VIPs, VVIPs, cricket clubs and few others. The Mee-Seva centres would sell 2,000 tickets of Rs 400 denomination, 5,900 tickets of Rs 1,000 denomination, 2,600 tickets of Rs 1,500, 600 tickets of Rs 2,000, 600 tickets of Rs 3,000 and 300 tickets of Rs 5,000 denominations. Joint Collector J. Nivas said that the district administration is taking some new initiates for selling the tickets with much transparency.
Sources in police said that with Vizag on radar of terror suspects, about 1,200 police constables and 250 police officers will be deployed at the stadium on the day of match. The police will conduct vehicular check at the parking places as a part of security measures and all the spectators along with valid ticket should occupy their seats 2 hours before the match. The players of India and New Zealand will be arrived city on October 27 evening and will practices in the stadium on October 28.
