Twitterati reacts to AB de Villiers' shock retirement from international cricket
Johannesburg: The cricketing world came to a standstill on Wednesday when South Africa’s AB de Villiers announced his retirement from international cricket with immediate effect.
De Villiers himself announced the news on Twitter in a video message. The South African batsman has 47 international centuries and 109 international fifties to his name.

Twitter was filled with best wishes pouring in for the right-handed batsman soon after the news shocked the world.

ABD was recently seen in Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) colours during the Indian Premier League (IPL), which is captained nby Virat Kohli. The team, however, finished sixth in the IPL, failing to qualify for playoffs.
