Final against Pune was my best ever T20 game: Rohit Sharma
Mumbai: Mumbai Indians’ skipper Rohit Sharma said the one-run win over Pune Supergiant was his best ever Twenty20 game.
“I cherish all the three title wins (2013, 2015, 2017), we have worked hard to win all. Last night’s game was a best Twenty20 game I have been part of,” said Rohit who was also part of triumphant Deccan Chargers in 2009.
“We had played three matches against Pune and lost all. In the final, we wanted to do want we couldn’t,” he added.
Rohit said he was enjoying his captaincy for his franchise. “I am enjoying captaincy. Last year it was tough, as we couldn’t qualify. We knew with the set of individuals we have we can do it, we backed them and they have done well this season,” he said.
Former Sri Lankan skipper Mahela Jayawardene replaced Ricky Ponting as head coach ahead of this season and Rohit said he has learnt from both.
