Marking a new beginning of their one-and-a-half-year-old courtship, Kerala’s hot property in domestic cricket, Sachin Baby, will get hitched to Anna Chandy, a doctor, at St. Sebastian’s Church in Thodupuzha, their hometown, on January 5.
For his wedding, the left-handed Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) batsman has come home on a short sabbatical.
“Both of us met during a function. Anna is a BDS graduate and is aspiring to crack Civil Service Examination, for which preparations are underway,” says Sachin.
This Christmas will be very special for the couple who are going to share some happy moments together during a three-day pre-marriage counselling by the church.
Making things fall in place for the D-Day is on top of Sachin’s priorities before he falls back to playing tourney after tourney. He has an RCB match scheduled in Bangalore on the fourth day from his wedding. Towards January end, he would join the Kerala squad for Syed Mushtaq Ali T-20 domestic championship in Chennai.
Prod him further on honeymoon plans and he reveals, “Not soon. We have postponed travel plans till I become free after the scheduled matches.”
