Virender Sehwag trolls James Anderson after his King Pair
Mumbai: Twitter master Virender Sehwag, who is famous for his witty take on anything and everything, on Monday targeted English bowler James Anderson.
Anderson failed to open his account in both innings of the second Test in Vizag, as India beat England by 246 runs to take 1-0 lead in the series. The pacer became the first England player to bag King’s pair in Test in last 100 years.
Sehwag termed Anderson’s King Pair as karma bites. The flamboyant batsman himself had bagged a King Pair during India’s tour of England in 2011.
Sehwag tweeted: “Jimmy Anderson made me pay tribute to Aryabhatta by getting me out for a King pair in 2011. Today,he too got a King pair. #KarmaBites.”
Former Australian great Adam Gilchrist, who earned the dubious distinction during Australia’s tour of India in 2011, welcomed Anderson to the club.
Gilchrist tweeted: ““Welcome to the club Jimmy Anderson. I was first Aussie back in ’01 in Calcutta. #indiadoesthattoyou.”
