League match: Teja, Akshath hog top division spotlight
Hyderabad: Mandala Teja and P. Akshath Reddy were the top performers on Tuesday at the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s top division league matches here.
Jai Hanuman left-arm spinner Manda Teja took 7 wickets for 56 runs as Deccan Chronicle were all out for 218 on the first day of their three-day game in the Premier League.
In another match, Ranji player Akshath Reddy slammed 128 with the help of 14 boundaries and six sixes as Income Tax piled 328 for 5 against Ensconse. Akshath’s teammate Sandeep too is poised for a century. He is batting on 92.
In the second division two-day league, left-arm spinner Rishab Bilas of Jai Bhagwati took 6 for 120 in a losing cause against Khalsa, for whom Bhavesh Seth hit 140.
Prince Ojha of HBCC was the other centurion. He hit 117 against Brothers XI.
In another match, mediumpacer Rajnish Yadav of CCOB took 5 for 11 as Sri Chakra declared their innings at 88 for 9. CCOB were 92 for 6 in reply.
Off-spinner Kaleem Khan also took a five-wicket haul, his 5 for 20 being the cause for Sri Shyam being all out for 155.
