Watch: CSK captain MS Dhoni, daughter Ziva's special message for Pune fans
Pune: India’s veteran cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni earlier received an emotional return to his Indian Premier League (IPL) team Chennai Super Kings (CSK), and it seems like he has enjoyed every bit of it.
CSK were returning to the IPL after a gap of two years as they were banned due to the spot-fixing scandal.
The Men in Yellow are already in the playoffs, after having finished second in the IPL points table, behind Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
As a result, they will face Kane Williamson’s SRH in the Qualifier 1 whereas Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) host Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the eliminator.
Dhoni took to Instagram to share an emotional moment where he could be seen walking back to the dressing room in Pune for one last time with his daughter Ziva.
"Ziva gives me company for the last walk to the Pune dressing room for this season. thanks a lot PUNE for supporting us and turning the whole stadium yellow, hope CSK entertained you guys enough," Dhoni captioned in the video.
Dhoni and Ziva have always been known for sharing light father-daughter moments during intervals of a match.
CSK’s home games were shifted from Chennai to Pune due to the Cauvery controversy in Tamil Nadu. The two-time champions played their last home game against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP), which they eventually won by five wickets to knock Ravichandran Ashwin’s men out of the tournament.
