RPS delete tweet mocking Rohit Sharma after MI 1st innings
Hyderabad: Mumbai looked down and out, after ending their innings at 129 for eight, as their top order experienced an early collapse against a disciplined Rising Pune Supergiant bowling attack, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, in Hyderabad, on Sunday.
A target of 130 is generally considered a modest one, keeping in mind that scores of 200-plus are not unseen in the shortest version of the game in recent days. The game, at this point, was RPS’ to lose.
Seeing this development, RPS tweeted a rather questionable picture of MI captain Rohit Sharma crying, from their official handle.
However, demeaning an opponent, especially at such a big occasion, is never a good idea. RPS realised their mistake and took down the tweet later. Here is a screenshot of the tweet that more than 100 retweets and more than 150 likes on the social media site, before they supposedly took it down.
After the match, the Pune-based franchise also supposedly tried to explain their stance about the Rohit Sharma tweet, saying that “it was all in good spirit”.
Hope we made your #IPLFinal experience a good one. It was all in good spirit.#RangWahiJungNayi #RPSvMI pic.twitter.com/3HcsLr6HVa

However, it remains to be seen whether the Mumbai Indians' fans have taken this tweet in the right spirit.
