TCA applies for recognition to BCCI

The TCA are scheduled to meet the BCCI Committee of Administrators on Thursday and put the proposal forward.

Hyderabad: The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA), a parallel cricket body formed after the state was carved out in 2014, has applied for recognition and membership to the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

Currently, the Hyderabad Cricket Association is the governing body for the game in the State. In a letter written to the BCCI on February 23, the TCA submitted their application for awarding them with the membership as a State level Cricket Association from Telangana State by stating that it has been actively involved in cricket by way of conducting matches as well as training camps since January 2015.

The TCA are scheduled to meet the BCCI Committee of Administrators on Thursday and put the proposal forward.
