Over 3,500 retweets, 27,000 likes! Virender Sehwag's MS Dhoni tweet wins the internet
Centurion: 3 sixes, 4 fours and unbeaten 52 off 28 balls. MS Dhoni turned the clock back even as India could not cross the finish line and South Africa levelled the three-match T20 series by winning the second T20 in Centurion on Wednesday.
While India were in a spot of bother, having lost Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina and reduced to 90/4, Dhoni and Manish Pandey, who scored 79 not out from 48 balls, put up an unbeaten 98-run stand in 56 balls to power India to 188.
Although Manish was the one who started to put pressure on the Proteas bowlers, Dhoni did not waste too much time to join the party. The former Indian cricket team skipper also brought up his second T20I half-century and as he played those big shots, Twitter went berserk, with the likes of Virender Sehwag lauding India’s World Cup-winning skipper.
Last 4 overs 55 . Hathyar chalana nahi bhoolein, Special hits from a special player , Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Great effort from Pandey as well. Best wishes to the bowlers to defend 188
