Vijay Merchant Trophy: Hyderabad on backfoot in semifinals

Hyderabad's Divesh Singh and Owais Abdul Wahed contributed their part to the team total with 48 and 30 runs respectively.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad were bowled out for 163 in the first innings and in response Uttar Pradesh reached 333 for eight on the second day of the Vijay Merchant Trophy semifinal match being played at Indore.

Hyderabad’s Divesh Singh and Owais Abdul Wahed contributed their part to the team total with 48 and 30 runs respectively. After bowling out Hyderabad, Uttar Pradesh’s prodigious top order gave a great start. Prabhnoor Singh, fell short for century by 9 runs, Skipper Aryan Sharma smashed 89 by crashing 11 fours and a six. Trishank and Abdul Waheed shared six wickets equally for hyderabad.
