Mumbai: Virender Sehwag has called Anil Kumble, India’s best captain.
The swashbuckling batsman, who turned 38 on Thurday said this in reply to the current Indian coach’s birthday message.
Sehwag thanked Kumble for his wishes and credited the former bowler for his second triple century – 319 against South Africa in Chennai in March 2008. Kumble was the Indian captain then.
In the video posted on his Twitter account, Sehwaig said: “"In my view, you were the best captain of the Indian team and probably the best coach."
