ICC CWC’19: Twitterati trolls ICC for comparing Soumya Sarkar with Cristiano Ronaldo

Mumbai: Bangladesh all-rounder Soumya Sarkar nearly pulled off the unique celebration style of Portugese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo after he dismissed Australia skipper Aaron finch.

The Bangladesh opener provided his team the first break-through after he scalped the important wicket of in-form Aaron Finch who scored a vital 53 along with team-mate David Warner who scored 166 to guide Australia to a mammoth total of 381-5.

 

Sarkar after breaking the 121 runs opening partnership, expressed his joy by celebrating in a nearly similar way the former Real Madrid and Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo celebrates. Sarkar perfectly acted out Ronaldo’s legendary ‘Siuuu’ action with a jump-up on the pitch.

ICC cricket world cup noticing the resemblance with Soumya Sarkar and Cristiano Ronaldo’s celebration style, tweeted, “Separated at birth” along with a collaged picture of Soumy and Ronaldo’s celebration picture.

However, numerous fans felt the comparison was “overhyped”, while other demanded the post to be deleted.
