2018 IPL: Gautam Gambhir-led Delhi Daredevils set embarrassing record
Bangalore: Delhi Daredevils recorded the lowest powerplay score of the 2018 Indian Premier League while playing against Royal Challengers Bangalore at M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday.
The visiting side scored 28 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 6 overs, which is the lowest total in 19 matches played so far.
Delhi struggled to get going in first 15 over's, losing openers Gautam Gambhir, Jason Roy and Maxwell as all the three batsmen failed to trouble the score. Shreyas Iyer came up with major contribution with the bat scoring 52 of 31 balls.
Rishabh Pant launched attack on RCB bowlers in the last five over's to ensure that his team reached 174-5 in 20 overs. Pant scored a blistering 85 runs of 48 balls.
Bangalore and Delhi are currently the bottom two sides in the league with just one win under the belt. If RCB does manage to win this game, this will be their victory on their home ground
