Preview:
After running through the England batting line-up, courtesy Hardik Pandya, on Day 2 of the third Test, Virat Kohli and co will look to consolidate their position in the match on Day three of the third England versus India Test here on Monday.
With Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul putting up their second fifty+ run partnership in the match, India ended Day 2 at 124/2, with an overall lead of 291 runs. Kohli and Cheteshwar, the overnight batsmen, with the other remaining batsmen will be keen to strengthen the team’s grip on this Test and put up a total which will be out of England’s reach.
England, meanwhile, will want their pace battery of James Anderson, Stuart Broad, Chris Woakes and Ben Stokes alongside Adil Rashid to keep India in check and restrict them to a score from where England can still fancy their chances to either eek out a draw and fashion an unlikely win.
