Kolkata: Virat Kohli (100) was back at his best on Friday as he, along with Moeen Ali (66) played crucial roles in Royal Challengers Bangalore’s (RCB) thrilling 1-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the 35th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
While RCB posted a mammoth total of 213-4 from 20 overs, it was a matter of being so close yet so far for hosts KKR as they fell 10 runs short despite contributions by Andre Russell (65) and Nitish Rana (85).
However, KKR’s Kuldeep Yadav, who is enduring a poor run in the IPL, broke down in tears during the second strategic timeout of RCB’s innings after conceding 27 runs off his final over.
