Shoaib Akhtar mocked on Indian TV show, loses his cool

Akhtar lost his cool after anchor Jatin Sapru supposedly mocked him during the post-match show.

Kolkata: Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 37-ball 55 runs knock against Pakistan proved to be the cornerstone as Mahendra Singh Dhoni-led Team India thrashed arch-rivals Pakistan by six wickets in the ICC World T20 at Eden Gardens on Saturday.

India have registered their seventh win against Pakistan in a World Cup game (T20 and 50 overs) at the venue and now have a 11-0 lead over Pakistan in all World Cups.

However, the Pakistani cricket team wasn’t the only one that was left embarrassed. Former Pakistani speedster Shoaib Akhtar lost his cool after anchor Jatin Sapru supposedly mocked him during the post-match show.

At the beginning, Sapru was seen smiling which led an angry Shoaib to ask: “Why are you laughing?”

The anchor tried to reduce the tension by referring to the ‘Mauka mauka’ ad which was playing in the background.

Pakistan were unable to break the World Cup jinx against India and after Sapru’s antics, the ‘Rawalpindi Express’ was left furious.

“I have been called here to do the analysis of the game so kindly stick to that and don't make fun.

“You are sitting here to ask my opinion or ridicule me? You can't call me to the studio and make fun of me," he added.

Former India skipper Kapil Dev, who was sitting next to Shoaib, rescued a possibly embarrassing situation for the anchor, as he continued talking about the India-Pakistan match.

"Give Shoaib some time and let him cool down,'' Dev told Sapru.
