Rajiv Gandhi U-19 T20 Cricket: Hyderabad too strong

Hyderabad amassed a huge total of 190, which Chandigarh found a mountain and miserably failed in their attempt to climb.

Team Hyderabad continued their winning streak to outsmart Chandigarh in the Rajiv Gandhi Under 19 National Twenty20 Cricket Championship being conducted by the Cricket Federation of Hyderabad.

Batting first, Hyderabad amassed a huge total of 190, which Chandigarh found a mountain and miserably failed in their attempt to climb.

The Hyderabad boys went hammer and tongs to post the strong total for the fall of nine wickets. Batsmen Rohith, Ashish Kama and Vignesh Agarwal were the key players, contributing 55, 42 and 30 runs to the team total respectively. Anshol Meena and Jatindhanda snared three and two wickets respectively for Chandigarh.

In reply, Chandigarh were bowled out for paltry 58 as they found the strong bowling line-up of Hyderabad too much to handle. Aniketh Reddy picked four wickets while conceding five runs while Ajaydev Goud and Ashish Kama scapled three and two wickets each. Ashish Kama was adjudged the Man of the Match for his belligerent all round performance.

Meanwhile, in the clash between Telangana and Haryana. Telangana hit the pitch with all the hoopla and posted a fighting total of 164 for the loss of two wickets on board. Sai Pranay and Samith Reddy scored 71 and an unbeaten 52 alongside Charan, who contributed 31 runs to the team’s total.
