Mumbai: Rishabh Pant once again proved to be the bane of Indian cricket team after a very poor outing against South Africa in the second T20I yesterday. After scoring just four runs, he got dismissed in a rash manner.
South African spinner, Bjorn Fortuin, bowled a not-so-great short ball to Pant, which should’ve been hit for a boundary. But Pant managed to hit the ball straight towards the fine-leg fielder, Tabraiz Shamsi, in, what can be called, an outrageous shot selection.
The cameraman also showed India’s batting coach, Vikram Rathour, writing something down after Pant’s dismissal. This could mean that there would be a shuffle in India’s playing 11 for any future match.
The netizens have been against Rishabh Pant ever since his string of bad performances began. And, after yesterday’s horror-show, they have taken out the big guns and started blasting Pant with even more memes, sarcasm and criticism.
