Asia Cup 2018, India vs Pakistan: Pak PM Imran Khan to arrive in UAE today?

Rohit Sharma-led India will square off against Pakistan in their 2nd encounter in Asia Cup on Wednesday.

Dubai: While India, who played their first Asia Cup 2018 game on Tuesday, will have a little time on their hand to get ready for the most-awaited clash against arch-rivals Pakistan, the Sarfraz Ahmed-led unit will be coming into this game after enjoying a two-day break following their opening game against Hong Kong on Sunday.

This would be the first time since the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final in June when these two teams will square off against each other.

There has been some unconfirmed reports from the Pakistan camp that their former skipper and the newly-elected Prime Minister Imran Khan is arriving in the United Arab Emirates on Wednesday to witness the encounter.

"We too have heard about his trip to the capital city of Abu Dhabi on Wednesday. Even if he comes, there is no news that he would be in Dubai and address the Pakistani team ahead of their crucial match against India,” a top Pakistan Cricket Board official said.

"Even if he comes, he is likely to head to Saudi Arabia for Umrah from there,” he added.
