Hyderabad: Owais, Mudassir, Taha, Hitesh, Raju top shows

Varun, Nikhil, Suresh, Shravan and Alim too do well in HCA’s three-day league.

Hyderabad: Owais, Varun Goud and Nikhil Parwani were batsmen on top of their games, scoring centuries, while Mudassir, Raju Yadav, Md. Taha Shaik, C. Hitesh Yadav, M. Suresh, Shravan and Alim were among the wickets at the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s three-day league championship matches played on Thursday.

Mudassir was star bowler for BDL. He took 7 wickets for 83 runs as Deccan Chronicle cracked against his spell to be all out for 238 despite Varun Goud chalking up 102 off 154 balls with the help of 14 boundaries.

Owais from Ensconse had put up a scintillating show for the team as he made 140 off 308 balls with 14 boundaries and two sixes to his credit against Cambridge XI.

Nikhil Parwani from MP Colts stroked an unbeaten 100 slamming 10 boundaries and two sixes off 180 balls while Alim from Continental took 5 for 183 in their match.

Taha Shaik was among the star bowlers as he took 6 for 48 for Gemini Friends while Hyderabad Bottling were all out for a paltry 170.

Raju Yadav from Income Tax turned in a briliant performance by taking six wickets for 58 to bowl EMCC out for 303 and help his side (343) gain first innings lead.

C. Hitesh Yadav put up a splendid show for Andhra Bank as he snared 6 wickets for 37 while bundling Railways for 151 in their second innings. Despite M. Suresh taking 5 for 56 Railways lost the match inside two days.

Shravan from Jai Hanuman was another bowler who put up a brilliant show, taking 5 wickets for 50 in their match against Sporting XI.

Akash Bhandari from SBI took his wicket haul to 7 for 95 on the second day.
