Aakash Chopra spends 7 lakhs on Indonesian food, Twitterati does the rest

Mumbai: Former Team India cricketer Aakash Chopra is one of the most active voices in cricket. He has made a name for himself through his Hindi commentary and expert analysis on the game.

The 40-year-old is also highly active on social media where he regularly expresses his views relating to cricket with a popular hashtag named #AakashVani. Not only that, there is now an own application to his name where fans can follow him closely.

However, Chopra recently left Twitterati puzzled with a post during his vacation in Indonesia. “Paid nearly 7 Lac for a meal. Welcome to Indonesia,” he wrote with a picture of the restaurant bill.

But here is the catch. The bill was paid in Indonesian rupiah and when converted to Indian currency, the amount comes down to Rs 3,334.

Twitter users made use of the calculation table and while many indulged in some light-hearted banter, others trolled Chopra.
