Hyderabad: Mohit Soni took 7 wickets while conceding just 15 runs to lead a clutch of performers in Monday’s action at the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s top division league. Mohit of MP Colts returned with figures of 16.5-9-15-7 as Andhra Bank folded for 139 on the first day of their three-day match.
Mansing Ramesh was the next best on show. He hit 154 as Sporting XI made 412 for 7 against Cambridge XI. SBH had two centurions — KSK Chaitanya (141) and S. Anoop Pai (102) — who are still at the crease, against Evergreen.
Shubham Sharma (5 for 77) of Charminar CC and K. Sumanth (101) of Ensconse were the others to impress even as D. Lohit of R. Dayanand fell three runs short of the coveted three-figure mark.
The second rung two-day league too saw quite a few performers, the best of which was M. Suresh, who took 6 for 8 as Postal bowled out Visaka for a paltry 77.
Rakesh XI’s Viswajith Patnaik (5 for 32), E. Arvind (102) of Sai Satya, Loknath Naik (5 for 68) of Sri Chakra and Vijay Hanuman’s Chandrasekhar K (5 for 56) were others who did well.
