Video: Tabraiz Shamsi wildly celebrates Virat Kohli's wicket, Twitter does the rest

Shamsi did a Tahir after he dismissed the Indian skipper in the 1st T20 in Johannesburg.

Johannesburg: Tabraiz Shamsi is running as if there is no tomorrow. He is almost parallel to Virat Kohli at the striker’s end. The Indian skipper is trapped before the wickets, Shamsi is appealing and running, running and appealing, and celebrating. He knows it is out. It is given out and by the time, the umpire has brought down his finger, Shamsi is well past the square-leg umpire.

Kohli has opted for a review, hoping the on-field decision will be overturned but it has not. Shamsi has dismissed the Indian skipper and his former Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammate in the Indian Premier League (IPL). And while he should have had Kohli early had it not been for Farhaan Behardien’s dropped catch at long-on.

However, with Kohli’s wicket, out LBW, Shamsi went bonkers with his celebrations.

His celebrations were such that it reminded many of Imran Tahir’s celebrations after taking a wicket.

While Kohli got out early, that did not stop India from scoring 203 runs, batting first. Twitter, meanwhile, took over as soon Shamsi did.

Earlier during the ODI series, in the Port Elizabeth game, Kohli had taken a dig at Shamsi after the left-arm spinner had apparently had a crack at Kohli while he was batting.

"Chest pad Shammo (Shamsi), you have a chest pad on," Kohli chirped as the stump mic did the rest.

Coming back to Shamsi's celebrations, this was not the first time when he celebrated or appealed like the way he did during that Kohli dismissal.
