Andre Russell reveals gender of his unborn baby in style: watch video

Russell last played for his country in the 2019 ICC World Cup, where he suffered a knee injury.

Mumbai: The hard-hitting West Indian, Andre Russell, who lit up the skies during this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL) announced on social media that he and his wife are expecting their first child. He also revealed the gender of the baby in quite a unique way.

In an Instagram video, Andre’s wife, Jassym Lora, is seen throwing an underarm ball to the batsman who proceeds to smash it into a pink smoke. He captioned the video, “So it's #GIRL, another blessing in my life it didn't matter if it was a girl or a boy, all am asking God for is a healthy baby #babyrussell."

Following the upload, his West Indian compatriots proceeded to congratulate him in the comment section.

"Where was my invitation. Congrats bro..another lucky girl," West Indies star Chris Gayle replied to Russell's post.

"Wishing a safe pregnancy and successful delivery," Carlos Braithwaite commented.

Daren Sammy joined in saying: "Congratulations champ wishing the wifey a healthy pregnancy @ar12russell".
