Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag laud India Dwarf athletes on Twitter
Mumbai: Cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag have been social media buffs post their retirement and regularly use it as a platform to voice their opinions. On Thursday, the two former Team India cricketers congratulated the Indian contingent for their credible achievement at the World Dwarf Games.
The Master Blaster took to Twitter to felicitate the Indian Dwarf contingent.
“37 reasons to be extra proud of #TeamIndia’s performance at the #WorldDwarfGames. 15 Gold, 10 Silver & 12 Bronze. Outstanding achievement!” Tendulkar wrote.

He was also accompanied by Virender Sehwag, who wrote, “Wonderful effort by Team India. Standing tall with 37 medals (15 gold) at World Dwarf Games known as 'Olympics of little people' held in Toronto.”

Out of the 24 countries that participated at the World Dwarf Games in Toronto, the Indian contenders finished an impressive 10th place finish. Despite financial difficulties and personal problems, the Indian Dwarf Team ended with a record 37 medals – 15 gold, 10 silver and 12 bronze.
The Indian sports fraternity also extended their wishes on Twitter that included Sports Minister Vijay Goel.
