On return from Women's World Cup, Pakistan's Nashra Sandhu returns home on motorcycle

The Pakistani cricketer who played the Women's World Cup was taken home by her family members.

Lahore: The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup has been one of the most prolific sport tournaments that has caught the eye of everyone. In the ongoing event, many talents have impressed from all the participating nations despite India, Australia, South Africa and England making the semi-finals.

Pakistan’s Nashra Sandhu was one of the lot, but unfortunately Pakistan finished at the bottom of their group. On returning back to Pakistan after playing her final group match on Sunday against Sri Lanka, the 19-year-old was seen travelling pillion with two of her family members.

Generally, after every cricket tour the Pakistan Cricket Board is responsible for such travel arrangements but it was not the same in Sandhu’s case.

It is learnt that the Pakistani spinner was greeted by her family members after landing at the Lahore Airport, who then travelled home together on a motorcycle. Here's a footage of the clip:

The incident displays the sorry state of affairs in Pakistani cricket. Though it is understood that lesser funds are allotted towards women’s cricket such basic amenities should be provided for players such as Sandhu. However, for Sandhu the Women’s WC will be a memorable event as he claimed 7 wickets, with 4 of them coming against arch-rivals India.
