Mumbai: While on tours, besides the serious cricket on the field, Indian cricketers always make it a point to make the trip a memorable one. However, there have many fascinating stories that go unnoticed or untold and when you actually read about those glorious tales you wonder how such things could have occurred.

Slow left-arm orthodox bowler Murali Kartik, who sporadically represented the India national cricket team from 2000 to 2007, revealed an interesting anecdote where veteran off-spinner Harbhajan Singh once trolled the Indian team.

During a tri-series in Zimbabwe, when India were under infamous coach Greg Chappell, the team were bowled out for 110 runs.

We lost the match badly and were sitting with sad faces. Suddenly, Bhajji gets up and starts telling everyone to remove their bats and start counting them. We removed our bats. We had 110 bats amongst the 15 of us. And then Bhajji said, ‘Itne toh humne run nahi banaye jitney balle hai’ (we haven’t scored these many runs),”” Kartik said during Viu Originals’ ‘What the Duck’ show hosted by Vikram Sathaye.
