Shane Warne, Kevin Pietersen investigated for not wearing seat belts

Warne, Pietersen and Slater are being investigated by Tasmanian police for not wearing seat belts during a visit to Hobart.

Hobart: Shane Warne is back in headlines for wrong reasons, and this time he’s not alone. The Aussie spin legend, Kevin Pietersen and Michael Slater landed themselves in trouble for not wearing seat belts in a moving car during a visit to Hobart, on Monday (November 14).

In a video uploaded by Warne on his Facebook account, the trio could be seen travelling in a moving car without wearing seat belts.

Tasmania police says the matter is under investigation.

"There is an investigation undergoing ... we have a copy of the footage and have our officers looking and reviewing that tape," acting Inspector Ian Mathewson was quoted as saying by Theaustralian.com.au.

“The men haven't been contacted, "but I believe they will be at some stage," he added.

Also in the car were former Australian cricketer Ian Healy and Mark Taylor, who were wearing their seatbelts.

The commentators were in Hobart for the second Test between Australia and South Africa. The Aussies lost the Test by an innings and 80 runs.
