KSCA XI stage fightback

With the visitors on 93/1 overnight, added just 116 runs losing nine wickets as More and Gowtham took three wickets apiece.

Bengaluru: Spearhead Ronit More and off-spinner K. Gowtham helped KSCA XI stage a fight back as Cricket Association of Bengal were bowled out for 209 on the second day of the KSCA Dr. (Capt.) K Thimmappiah Memorial four-day cricket tournament title clash here on Tuesday.

With the visitors on 93/1 overnight, added just 116 runs losing nine wickets as More and Gowtham took three wickets apiece. Prasenjit Das, who was 51 unbeaten overnight, made 74 (111b, 13x4) while Pankaj Shaw contributed 33 as the CAB took 79-run lead

In the second essay, KSCA XI were 52 for no wicket with openers R Samarth (20 batting, 48b, 2x4) and Mayank Agarwal (31 batting, 61b, 4x4) in the middle. KSCA XI still trail by 27 runs with two days to go.

Brief scores: KSCA XI: 130 & 52 for no loss in 18 overs (R Samarth 20 batting, Mayank Agarwal 31 batting) vs Cricket Association of Bengal: 209 all out in 80.5 overs (Prasenjit Das 74, Pankaj Shaw 33, Ronit More 3/33, Abrar Kazi 2/32, K. Gowtham 3/54).
