Mumbai: India’s most loved batsman from the current crop Virat Kohli has all the traits of a typical Dilli ka munda —aggression, swag and style. Born in the national capital, India’s Test skipper embraced his culture right from the beginning.
Wherever he goes today, Kohli has that aggression that’s typical of a Delhi lad but it seems it’s going to change soon.
According to reports, Kohli may soon shift base to Mumbai. The 27-year-old has reportedly bought a 7,000 sq feet house in south Mumbai’s Worli area for a whopping Rs 34 crore. The flat is in the C-Wing of an under-construction project called Omkar 1973.
The flat Kohli has bought will have just four walls and will have to get all the remaining work done as per his own specifications.
“The project has flats on bare shell ‘Bespoke’ model, which means the flats can be designed as per the owner’s style and taste. The builder offers only a floor, with no columns in between. It’s like a playground and the owner can make anything inside. One can have any size of bedroom to a king size hall, or a study,” a source from the builder’s office was quoted as saying, according to a report in Mid-Day.
The move to shift base to the Maximum City may have come on the back of some quality time spent with alleged girlfriend Anushka Sharma. The B-Town actress, who is a Bengaluru resident, also spends the majority of her time in the city due to her work assignments.
After a successful IPL 9 leading his side Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to the final, Kohli has been spending a lot of time in Mumbai, whether it has to do with this charity work, or leisure.
Recently, along with Abhishek Bachchan, Kohli was seen on the football field in a match between Bollywood celebs and cricketers. With so many activities in the city, one would need their own house right? If you have the money, why not!...
