Centurion: 35th ODI ton. 27th while chasing the target. Fastest to 17,000 international runs, most runs in a bilateral ODI series, most hundreds for an Indian captain in a bilateral series. Virat Kohli’s record-breaking streak generated another round of mind-numbing numbers as he scored an unbeaten 129 off 96 balls India beat South Africa in the sixth ODI by eight wickets to win the six-match ODI series 5-1 in Centurion on Friday.

As Kohli scored another hundred, Twitter was in a meltdown praising the Indian skipper. Former England captain-turned-commentator Michael Vaughan, who has praised Kohli many times in the past, was once again wholesome in his praise, terming Kohli, the best ever ODI batsman.

As Kohli began his innings, Vaughan had tweeted:

Former and current cricketers such as Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Mohammad Kaif, Kevin Pietersen, R Ashwin, Rashid Khan, Tom Moody were amongst other who lauded Kohli.
