Vijay Merchant Trophy: Tilak, Divesh put Hyderabad ahead
Hyderabad: Hyderabad amassed a 353-run lead after wrapping up Punjab for 196 on the third day of the Vijay Merchant Trophy quarterfinals being played at Sagar, Madhya Pradesh on Monday.
At stumps, Hyderabad were 94 for no loss in 37 overs with first innings centurion N. Thakur Tilak Varma batting on 56 and A. Vaishnava Reddy unbeaten on 36.
Earlier, Punjab were blown away by Divesh Singh’s fierce spell which read as 21-2-41-5. D. Saisargvi and Trishank Gupta played supporting roles in the team’s cause by picking 2 wickets each.
