Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress-producer Anushka Sharma grabbed the limelight when they got married in Tuscany, Italy on December 11.

Johannesburg: Team India skipper Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress-producer Anushka Sharma grabbed the limelight when they got married in Tuscany, Italy on December 11. The most anticipated wedding, which was kept under the wraps, took many people by surprise when the couple shared the news on Twitter. Celebrities, cricket fraternity and people from all walks of life took to social media to congratulate the couple.

AB de Villiers, who is a member of the Indian Premier League (IPL) side Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), and someone with whom Kohli shared a great rapport, congratulated the newly-married couple.

The South African legend recorded a video message to wish Virat and Anushka.

“Congratulations to Virat and Anushka for getting married. Took me by surprise. But I always knew who had a surprise up your sleeve. So, congrats to my good friend Virat, and Anushka. I know you guys are going to have a very happy life together and hopefully many kids to come,” De Villiers said in a video.

Not only de Villiers, but Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir who is currently playing T10 league in UAE also sent message to the couple

Amir said “I’m so happy for him. I also congratulated him and I wish him in his life’s new innings. Like he made a name for himself in cricket, I wish and pray to Allah that he is successful in his new life and Allah gives both of them a good life and all the happiness. I also pray Allah protects them from evil eyes. When a lot of eyes are on you, a lot of people’s evil eyes could be on you. But I pray that Allah helps them in this new journey,".

Meanwhile, Virat and Anushka will throw a bash on 21st and 26th December in Delhi and Mumbai respectively. Kohli who took a break from the ODI and T20 series against Sri Lanka will join the Team India after celebrations for the upcoming tour of South Africa.
