HYDERABAD: Sree Madhav turned in an allround performance on a day Mirza Houzef Baig, V. Saadhvik Reddy, Azizuddin, Harshit Choudhary, Arbaz Baig, Aditya Javvaji and S. Pranay slammed centuries while Sahith, Imran Ghouri, C. Jaisnehal, Pratham Jain and Rithwik Reddy came up with good performances with the ball in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s U-16 league-cum-knockout tournament.

Sree Madhav of Sanghi Vidya Niketan came up with an allround show. He hit 158 to help his team post 216 for 9 in 40 overs before taking seven wickets to bundle Slate The School out for 76.

 

Mirza Houzef Baig of St Mark’s Boys Town High School fell 8 runs shy of a double century. His 192, decorated with 33 boundaries and two sixes, led his side to 358 in 45 overs against Asian Grammar School, who were out for 85.

Gowtham Model School (West Marredpally) players were on top of their game. Saadhvik Reddy hit an unbeaten 103 with 13 boundaries while teammate Azizuddin slammed 101 off 59 balls with 11 boundaries and three sixes to his credit as their team posted 435 for 6 in 50 overs. Sahith then took five wickets as Oak Valley Internatio-nal School was packed for just 42.

In another match, Imran Ghouri of St Francis of Assisi Boys School scalped seven wickets for 25 runs to restrict St Joseph’s Public School (King Koti) to 174. Chasing, Harshit Choudhary hit 100 as St Francis boys overhauled the target by losing just one wicket, in 18.1 overs.

C. Jaisnehal took seven wickets for 6 runs as Oakridge Internatio--nal School bowled out Narayana Concept School for just 22 in 9.5 overs for a 10-wicket win.

Arbaz Baig of St Peter’s High School scored 103 with six boundaries to his credit while teammate Pratham Jain took 5 for 32 against St Mary’s Junior College.

Aditya Javvaji of St Patrick’s slammed 109 with 12 boundaries and two sixes to help his side to 222 in 44.3 overs against Future Kids School, who were out for 108.

Rithwik Reddy took 5 for 10 as Sri Vidyaniketan International School got Sri Chaitanya School out for 70 before registering a 10-wicket victory.
S. Pranay of Gowtham Junior College (ECIL) was another centurion. He slammed 105 with 10 boundaries.
