Twitterati bashes Rishabh Pant\'s shot selection in 3rd ODI against West Indies

Pant walked to the crease at number four ahead of Shreyas Iyer, who had scored a half-century in the previous match.

Mumbai: Rishabh Pant continued the trend of throwing his wicket away in the third ODI against West Indies on Wednesday. India were given the target of 255 runs to chase in 35 overs in a rain-affected clash.

Pant walked to the crease at number four ahead of Shreyas Iyer, who had scored a half-century in the previous match. Pant departed for a golden duck as he came down the track and skied one off Fabian Allen to Keemo Paul who took the catch.

When Pant was walking off the field, skipper Virat Kohli, who was at the non-striker's end was frustrated with the shot selection of the 21-year-old. India were successful to win the match by six wickets. However, fans took it to Twitter to express their frustration over Pant's shot selection in the third ODI.

India and West Indies will now face each other in red-ball cricket when they start their ICC World Test Championship campaign with a two-Test series, starting August 22.
