The semi-final match between Pakistan and England held on Wednesday was an important match for the Pakistan team as it marked their entry into the finals of the Champions Trophy. And being there to cheer and support her husband, Shoaib Malik, was Sania Mirza. Though Sania did not post any photo from the match on social media, we spotted her in a photograph tweeted by Ebba Qureshi, wife of Pakistan bowling coach Azhar Mahmood.
A while ago, in a video posted by the official page of Pakistan Cricket Team, Sania was seen appreciating Shoaib ahead of his 250th match. “I think it shows his commitment to Pakistan and to cricket. I have always known him to be passionate about playing and representing his country. It’s a very proud moment for his mom, his siblings and me.”

Talking about how they manage to take time out for each other, Sania had added, “A lot goes into coordinating. The phones really help us. We spend a lot of time apart being two professional athletes. Sometimes our schedules match. I have this week off so instead of going back to India or Dubai, I came here. It’s a good change for me to watch some cricket as well. I haven’t watched that many matches because I was playing too. I love cricket and I love watching it. I did watch a few of India’s matches as well. May the best team win.” Ebba had also tweeted yet another photo of Sania watching the match with her father Imran, on Monday.
