Hyderabad Cricket Association: 7-star show by Kishore, Salim
Hyderabad: Prateek was the only batsman to hit a century while Kishore, Salim, Prakash, Abdullah, V. Parimal, Kalim Khan, Suraj Naik, Azeemuddin, Nayeem, Ibrahim Ali Siddique bowled well at the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s two-day league matches here.
Prateek of Budding Star hit 121 off 117 balls with 15 boundaries and two sixes to his credit to help his team post 213 in 48.1 overs. Later, teammate Abdullah scalped six wickets while conceding 47 runs to consign Gouds XI to defeat for whom Azeemuddin took five wickets.
Kishore of Karimnagar District snared seven wickets while giving away just 38 runs against Nizam College, for whom Prakash took six wickets. Replying to Karimnagar’s 132 in 35.5 overs, Nizam College were all out for a paltry 90.
In another match, Salim took six PKMCC wickets while conceding 44 runs to bowl them out for 113 in reply to Sportive’s 163.
Parimal of Manchester was the other bowler who performed well. He took five wickets to limit Elegant CC to 81 in 36.5 overs.
Nayeem and Suraj put up a splendid show for Nizamabad District taking five wickets each to limit Secunderabad Nawabs CC to 189 in 57.4 overs.
In another match, Kalim took five wickets for 42 runs for Zinda Tilismath CC who beat Hyderabad Blues by seven wickets. Ibrahim of Sri Shyam also got five wickets as his team (136 for 1) scored a nine-wicket win over Megacity who were all out for 135 in 35.5 overs.
Meanwhile in the Vijay Merchant Trophy, Hyderabad defeated Tamil Nadu by two wickets.
