CK Nayudu Trophy: Hyderabad seal a comfortable win

Hyderabad's Omer Khan picked four wickets at the cost of 79 runs.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad bowling attack led by Mir Omer Khan dismantled visitors Uttar Pradesh in their second innings too to carve out an innings and 116 runs victory and pocket seven points on the fourth day of their Col C. K. Nayudu Trophy Under 23 Plate division Group ‘B’ league match at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium here on Tuesday.

Resuming their second innings at the overnight score of 13 for 2, Uttar Pradesh’s batters did make a good start but failed to score big only to see their side tumble down for 229 in a span of 63 overs. Hyderabad’s Omer Khan picked four wickets at the cost of 79 runs while Y. Shravan and P. S. Chaitanya Reddy played supporting roles by picking two wickets each. For visitors Madhav Koushik (70) and Sahim Hasan (50) scored half-centuries each.

Brief scores: U.P. 234 & 229 in 63 overs (Madhav Koushik 70, Himanshu 45, Sahim Hasan 50, Vineeth Panwar 31 n.o, Mir Omer Khan 4/79, Y. Shravan 2/21, P.S. Chaitanya Reddy 2/48) lost to Hyderabad 579 in 176.1 overs. Points: Hyderabad-7, U.P.-0.
