MS Dhoni puts up this cryptic Instagram post as Chennai Super Kings make IPL comeback

BCCI welcomed back Chennai Super Kings, Rajasthan Royals to IPL after the ban on them was officially lifted on Friday.

Chennai: Former Team India captain and wicketkeeper Mahendra Singh Dhoni has showed signs of returning to the Indian Premier League side Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

MS Dhoni, on Saturday posted a photo on Instagram of himself wearing a yellow jersey with the number 7 and ‘Thala’ (meaning ‘leader’ in Tamil) printed on it.

Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals (RR), were banned from playing the league in 2015 following the spot-fixing allegations. The two teams were replaced by Gujarat Lions and Rising Pune Supergiant for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.

The ban on the CSK and RR was on Friday officially lifted by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) when the board welcomed back to the cash-rich league.

MS Dhoni, who played for Rising Pune Supergiant in the IPL in the last two seasons, has taken CSK to the playoffs of the IPL in every season. This includes two Indian Premier League titles and two Champions League titles.
