Birmingham feels like Punjab: Yuvraj Singh ahead of Champions Trophy semifinal

Ahead of the semifinal, Yuvraj Singh shared his thoughts on his 300th ODI and what makes it so special to play at Birmingham.

Birmingham: India are all set to play Bangladesh in the semifinal of the ICC Champions Trophy, as their middle-order batsman Yuvraj Singh becomes the fifth cricketer from the country to get 300 ODI caps.

Ahead of the semifinal, Yuvraj shared his thoughts on his 300th ODI and what makes it so special to play in Birmingham.

“Yea, I mean, I am from Punjab, feels like I am in Punjab again, so basically feels like you are at home, there are so many Indians over there. Think that is very welcoming. I just really enjoy playing in Birmingham,” he said.

He also said delivering the result was important and it would give joy to fans.

“Obviously we will be able to play well, to be able to deliver the result and give joy to our fans,” he said.

India will play Bangladesh in the second semifinal of the ICC Champions Trophy at Edgbaston, Birmingham on Thursday.
