Vivek and Shesh move Hyderabad High Court

Sheshnarayan was disqualified as his name figured as an accused in charge-sheets.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Cricket Association president G. Vivekanand and its secretary T. Sheshnarayan have moved the Hyderabad High Court challenging the order of the Ombudsman of the BCCI in disqualifying them from holding respective posts in the HCA.

The Ombudsman recently disqualified Vivekananda on account of a commercial contract between M/s Visakha Industries, of which he is a Director, and HCA. Vivek was also disqualified on account of his appointment as an Advisor to Government.

Sheshnarayan was disqualified as his name figured as an accused in charge-sheets. Both have moved the petitions contending that the Ombudsman has no jurisdiction to disqualify them. Sheshnarayan contended that Justice Lodha Commission had never said that being named in a charge-sheet is a ground for disqualification.
