New Zealand women cricket team want to win it for Crowe
Women's team skipper Suzie Bates says the country will miss the legend.
New Delhi: New Zealand cricket was left poorer recently when legendary Martin Crowe died after a long battle with cancer. Women’s team skipper Suzie Bates says the country will miss the legend and would look to pay tribute with a “good performance in the World T20 here”.
“He was a massive inspiration for cricketers growing up in NZ and it is always sad losing someone like him. We will draw inspiration from him and also Mike Shrimpton, the former women’s coach, who died last year,” Bates said.
