Courageous of Eoin to skip Bangladesh tour: Pietersen
New Delhi: Former England batsman Kevin Pietersen believes that Eoin Morgan's decision to pull out of the upcoming tour to Bangladesh was a ‘courageous’ one.
Ending weeks of uncertainty over his participation, Morgan, along with opener Alex Hales, on Monday decided to withdraw from the Bangladesh series due to security concerns.
Pointing out that Morgan's withdrawal could also spell the end of his international career, Pietersen also quipped that the limited-overs skipper would instead have more fun playing in T20 leagues across the world.
Pietersen wrote on Twitter:
Very very courageous decision by Eoin anyway! Right or wrong, he was given a choice.

However, Morgan's decision has come under heavy scrutiny as the tour had been deemed safe by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and its long-standing security expert, Reg Dickason.
In Morgan's absence, wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler will lead the team in the tour, featuring three ODIs and two Tests in a tour starting next month.
Earlier, Morgan and Hales had expressed their reluctance in travelling to Bangladesh, where security concerns have sharply risen after a terror attack in Dhaka killed 20 hostages, including nine Italians in July.
Morgan, earlier this month, had also shed light on his previous security scares he had experienced on the subcontinent.
