Shoaib Akhtar slams Indian government for scrapping Article 370

After the revocation of Article 370, the Pakistanis had been bashing the India’s decision after it decided to scrap Article 370.

Mumbai: After the Indian government decided to scrap Article 370 that provided special status to Jammu and Kashmir and the residents of J&K, massive protest across the state as the centre decided to take down all network channels. Apart from locking down network channels, massive army troops were also deployed across the state.

Following the centre’s decision to scrap Article 370 and lock down J&K, massive protests were held in and outside the border. In J& K, many bashed the government’s initiative to abrogate Article 370 which barred people from other states to buy properties in J&K.

Earlier, in a historic move, the central government decided to abolish. Following that move, Jammu and Kashmir had been bifurcated into two Union Territories – Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.

However, after the revocation of Article 370, the Pakistanis had been bashing the Indian government’s decision after it decided to scrap Article 370. Since that historic move, the Pakistanis are doing everything to demean and belittle the image of the Indian government.

Even former Pakistani cricketer Shahid Afridi joined the bandwagon to slam the Indian government. After Afridi, Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed also spoke on the situation of Kashmir. And now, the latest to have joined the bandwagon is former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar.

On Tuesday, the former ‘Rawalpindi Express’ sympathised with the sentiments of the people of Kashmir and bashed the Indian government. On the occasion of Eid-Al-Adha, the former cricketer allegedly blamed India for generating violence in Kashmir.

Akhtar posted a picture in his tweet stating, “We stand by your side .. EID Mubarak”. The accompanying image read: “You define sacrifice. We pray for your freedom and what a great purpose to live for. #Kashmir.”

Earlier, former captain Shahid Afridi tweeted on the issue and urged United Nations and the US President to take action.

“Kashmiris must be given their due rights as per #UN resolution. The rights of Freedom like all of us. Why was @UN created & why is it sleeping? The unprovoked aggression & crimes being committed in Kashmir against #Humanity must be noted. The @POTUS must play his role to mediate.”

However, former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir in response tweeted, “@SAfridiOfficial is spot on guys. There is “unprovoked aggression”, there r “crimes against humanity”. He shud be lauded 👏for bringing this up. Only thing is he forgot to mention that all this is happening in “Pakistan Occupied Kashmir”. Don’t worry, will sort it out son!!!.”

Pakistan skipper also supported the Pakistanis for slamming the Indian government for scrapping Article 370. Sarfaraz stated in a media conference, “I pray to the Almighty Allah to help and rescue our Kashmiri brothers sail over these tough times. We all equally share their pain and misery. Entire Pakistan today stands with them.”
