Vivek Katar took eight wickets in an innings to steal the limelight in the Hyderabad Cricket Association’s one-day league matches. Vivek took 8 for 15 as RJCC thumped Gagan Mahal. Batting first, RJCC made 205 in 40 overs. Later, when Gagan Mahal went in to bat, they could not handle Vivek, who returned with impressive figures of 5-2-15-8 and were bundled out for a mere 72.
In another match, Y. Shiva Kumar scalped 5 wickets while conceding 39 runs as Azad CC beat Abhinav CC by four wickets. Shiva returned with figures of 12-0-39-5 as Abhinav folded for 144. Azad got over the line losing just four wickets.
