Here's Rohit Sharma's Valentine's Day gift and message for wife Ritika Sajdeh

Port Elizabeth: Team India opener Rohit Sharma finally managed to get among runs during India’s 73-run win against South Africa at St George’s Park on Tuesday. The victory in Port Elizabeth ensured a 4-1 series win for Virat Kohli and co, which also happens to be India’s first bilateral series win in South Africa.

After scoring just 40 runs in the first four matches, Rohit scored 115 runs in 126 balls in the fifth ODI to set up India’s win.

The 30-year-old hit eleven fours and four sixes during his 17th ODI ton. However, he had a lucky escape while he was on 96 when Tabraiz Shamsi dropped a straightforward chance at third man off Kagiso Rabada’s bowling.

The Mumbai batsman, who won the Man-of-the-match, dedicated his award to wife Ritika Sajdeh as a Valentine's Day gift. The cricketer took to Instagram and posted a message captioning it "Happy Valentine’s Day Rits @ritssajdeh."

Last year, Rohit Sharma, while leading the Indian team in absence of Virat Kohli, scored 208 not out against Sri Lanka in the second ODI and dedicated his third double century to his Ritika on the occasion of their second marriage anniversary.

"I'm happy my wife is here with me on this special day. I know she would have liked this gift from me. She has been my strength. She has always been there for me. You go through so much stress in this sport, and having them around is always special," Rohit had said at the post-match press conference.
